We are so excited to welcome you and your child to Wrens!

Starting preschool is a very special time, and our priority is to make sure every child feels safe, happy, loved and confident in their new surroundings. During the first few weeks, we take time to get to know each child, their interests and their individual needs, helping them to settle in at their own pace.

As the children become more confident, we gently encourage their independence, from putting on their own coats and shoes to looking after their belongings and making choices about their learning.

🌱 Learning Through Play

Our children learn best when they are having fun, exploring and following their own interests. Through a mixture of child led play and adult guided activities, we provide opportunities to develop communication, friendships, physical skills, early maths and literacy, creativity and an understanding of the world around them.

Every child is unique, and we celebrate their individual interests, ideas and achievements.

Tapestry is an important part of our home and preschool partnership. We will use it to share your child’s learning, achievements, interests and special moments throughout their time in Wrens.

We also love seeing what your child gets up to at home! Please use Tapestry to share photographs, comments, interests and achievements with us. These little moments help us to get to know your child even better and support us in planning learning that is meaningful to them.
